Wenatchee Valley Hospital & Clinics | Confluence Health is a regional multi-specialty outpatient center with 350 physicians and advanced practitioners, 150 bed acute care hospital and a dedicated clinical research department

The Confluence Health | Wenatchee Valley Hospital & Clinics, Research Department, established in 1990 (formerly Wenatchee Valley Medical Center Research Department), has experience conducting Phase I-IV studies, and is in a separate building on campus with dedicated patient parking, a reception area, and two patient examination rooms. The department has an on-site laboratory with two centrifuges, a refrigerator, -30C and -70°C freezers with continuous temperature monitoring, ECG machine and pulse oximeter. There are multiple locked cabinets for drug storage.We use a central IRB and can prepare documents for a quick study start. We are able to run a database search and review patient charts to identify potential research participants. The patient population at Confluence Health | Wenatchee Valley Hospital & Clinics is approximately 260,000 unique patients and more than 1,000,000 patient visits per year. Confluence Health was formed in 2013 as an affiliation between Wenatchee Valley Medical Center and Central Washington Hospital, to create an integrated rural healthcare delivery system that includes two hospitals, multi-specialty care in over 30 service lines and primary care in ten communities across North Central Washington. With over 350 physicians and advanced practice clinicians, we serve an area of approximately 12,000 square miles, and cover nearly every corner of this region through specialty outreach. Steven Kaster MD, CPI is the Medical Director of the Clinical Research Department and has over 19 years of Investigator experience in a variety of therapeutic areas. Our facilities have a large primary care provider base, with 42 Family Practice physicians and 17 Internal Medicine providers, as well as other specialties, including: Allergy, Audiology, Behavioral Medicine, Cardiology, Dermatology, ENT, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Gynecology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology, Obstetrics, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Physiatry, Podiatry, Pulmonology, Rheumatology, Sleep Medicine, Urology.
