The Medical Research Network combines the flexibility of a small, freestanding site with the experience of a well-established institution. MRN was founded by Dr. Michael R. Liebowitz in 1997. We specialize in clinical trials in psychiatry, neurology, and chronic pain conditions. MRN is a freestanding clinical research site, and as such everything is handled in-house and on-site (regulatory, contract review, etc). Thanks to this, we are able to get up and running very quickly. We recruit very well for indications including Major Depression, Treatment Resistant Depression, Social Anxiety, ADHD, Low Back Pain, Osteoarthritis, and Diabetic Neuropathy, but we are also able to succeed in recruitment for more challenging disorders such as Generalized Anxiety, PTSD, and Postherpetic Neuralgia.
Over the years, MRN has had experience with a wide range of aspects of clinical trials: sparse and frequent PK samples, pharmacogenetic sampling, scheduled/narcotic study medications, study drug administered via nasal spray/IV infusion/SC injection, unblinded pharmacists, blinded raters, remote source data verification, remote monitoring, electronic source document platforms, electronic consenting providers, single-blind placebo run-in study designs, and much more. To date, we have participated in over 180 clinical trials.
