Carlene Chen, RN, graduated from California State University Fresno in 1990 with a BSN. Her career in nursing began in Cardiac Survallience and the CCU at Stanford University Hospital. During her time at Stanford she also received accreditation as CCRN. In 1995- 1998 she worked on the Navajo Reservation with the PHS- Indian Health Service in Chinle, Arizona as a relief status nurse in the Special Care Unit, Emergency Department and ultimately as acting diabetes coordinator. After a 10 year respite to raise family, she returned to work in 2007, joining the Corvallis Clinic Research Department. In the last six years she has coordinated research for oncology, gastroenterology, sleep medicine and immunizations.
